Dear Yardies,
We at the #The-Yard-Collective crew are happy to bring you the second round of features to our LightHouse gallery!
As a quick reminder, every month a group of three of our moderators, *DougNZ , *MARX77 and ~kingmouf will pick a number of notable photos from Yard’s galleries and propose them to all moderators. After a voting process, the top three photos will be featured in the LightHouse Gallery. For reasons related to our real lives, it took us a while to make the second feature, but we hope that we’ll be able to deliver features in a more timely fashion from now on! Also, for this month *MARX77 has been replaced *PEN-at-Work .
The following photos will now be featured in our LightHouse Gallery (photos are presented in no particular order):
Admiration by *sandas04

*DougNZ : “An old master from an old master
The poses and expressions are so perfect it looks posed but this is just great street.”
*PEN-at-Work : “Can it be more pictorial when it comes to describe how the visual magic of the most majestic renaissance artists affects us people? I doubt it, and that is my main reason for adoring this image.”
~kingmouf : “It is like someone is making a contemporary adaptation of the classical pediment. You want to check every detail, every expression. A perfect moment captured.”
Street Photography BW 216 by ~sagi-k

*DougNZ : “A wonderful mimic from a very sharp eye.”
*PEN-at-Work : “It is obvious without being overstated, a quality that many great images share.”
~kingmouf : “Vivid, close, layered. Yes it is funny as well but without this being its major merit.”
Watch your Fish by ~Nattygrego

*DougNZ : “A hidden delight, I didn’t notice the cat at first then I read the artist’s comment – then it was a laugh out loud moment! Such a wonderful moment captured, I feel right in the scene .”
*PEN-at-Work : “It has a documentaristic feel to it, but the cat, that cat that is stealing the show, converts the photograph into a lovely street pic.”
~kingmouf : “A nicely composed scene with lots of details into it and many things to wonder your eyes around. The cat element did not work for me really well but once noted it is hard to leave behind.”
Till next month,
hit the streets and make the clicks!!
